Ten Redefined SCD Art X-Large 50.39" x 114.17" Rug Ten Redefined is an oil pastel painting created by warrior artist Hertz Nazaire which has been published around the world in books as the most well-know image representation of a Sickle Cell Crisis. For the artist the pain scale of numbers from one to ten is redefined by the moment of a new crisis. A scale to measure pain becomes meaningless and hard to understand, it was this issue that inspired the image for this painting. The artist's personal journey through Sickle Cell pain is reflected in the feelings in the painting.
